Water...is it safe?

Yes, water is safe. But...DRINKING FOUNTAINS ARE NOT! well they can be...But! the main issue is that a lot of sick kids go to school and put there mouth all over the cheek guard and all over the water nozzle and then everyone else gets sick. Also, the covert threat is that there can be rust in the pipes and nozzle and the rust can cause health problems. You do not want rust health problems. NOT AT ALL. Hopefully the janitor or whoever cleans it will use health-safe anti-rust anti germ sprays. Drink from a bottle!

ty T.P.M~

id first like to thank T.P.M for commenting. :D! Anyway, I'd like to talk about cafeteria food. Again. But this time, it's about what you eat...okay i think thats the same but what i mean is a lot of times your cafeteria just serves you your good'ol friend chicken with some good'ol french fries and some good'ol deep fried salad. Something doesnt seem right, because this really isn't good'ol for your heart and veins. also, these foods can raise obesity, and obesity is a global epedemic. OKAY for all you parents that are thinking:okay im gonna starve my child so they can lose weight, don't do that. make sure they get all the nutrition they need, even if they are a LITTLE overweight. They can always exercize, and that way they'll gain muscle too. If you don't feed them nutritously, when they stop developing during puberty, they will gain more weight from eating any type of food because of even MINOR malnutrition. That's bad.

Hm...Hello

Hi it's nick...and I'm wondering if I post something now if anyone will come to this site...Oh well, anyway happy new years, sorry I couldn't post I've been busy for the last 10 months or so :P.

Anyway, I was talking to an old friend and she said that a lot of the time her teachers come in to school...sick. No not like "Zomg I hate my teachers im sick of them." But sick like with a cold or flu. The point being the teachers, who talk a lot during class can spit when they talk. The airborne viruses can escape and then infect the students, who will then pass it down to other people. This can happen with lots of things such as sharing a drink.
Also a lot of teachers at some schools smoke in the teachers lounge. That's...sorta okay. But a lot just pop a smoke in when there are no kids in class and open a window to not trigger the alarm. That's not okay. Second hand smoke KILLS PEOPLE. K-I-L-L-S. GRAAAAAWWWRRR. Anyway the students can then breath in that smoke which they cannot detect due to the smell being vented out. Mhm, the lungs don't like smoke. They get sad, and they can start turning black. that's really not good. SMOKING CAN LOWER YOUR LUNG CAPACITY. That means you can't hold in as much air. It also means you can get lung cancer from the smoke. So don't go on any titanic-sized boats if you think you've had your lung capacity lowered. But sorry, this isn't PG&Es, you aren't getting a 100$ check to shut up about unfairness and start yakking about the pain and problems.
I'm nick...HIIIIYAH!

Diseases In The Food Of School Cafeterias

They live everywhere. They are coming to get you. In fact, billions of them grow and live on your body every day. Their secret hideouts for evil plotting are your hair, under your fingernails and in the small folds of your skin. Yes what I am talking about are...germs...When these evil pests get into your food you might get sick.

Depending on the kind of bacteria or viruses that get into your food, you can get diseases ranging from the common cold, to E. Coli, or Salmonella. If you wash your hands, or use hands sanitizer before you eat, you are much less likely to get sick. However, not all things can be prevented by washing your hands. If the cafeteria ladies (or lady) have unclean hands, what they cook and serve are foods contaminated with germs. Then all your hand washing efforts are for nothing...*snivel*

One of the rare diseases that can be in that beef jerky you're chewing on is MAD COW DISEASE! Although this isn't caused by germs, it gets transmitted through beef, venison, and buffalo. This causes your brain to turn to Jell-O over the course of five to ten years. Seriously. Some of the things that cause Mad Cow Disease are animals fed with other cow organs, occasionally infected, or in some cases, a deer licking the antlers of a dead herd-mate for salt that the antlers contain. This small action can cause another deer infected with mad cow. This disease, through humans eating infected meat can cause the disease to mutate, and transmit to you. One good thing is that it can't transmit from human-to-human. All of the previous two statements can be avoided. Here's how: on look for labels such as "Grass fed organic, or "not fed animal by-products," or an export statement in Japanese, because they inspect their beef much more thoroughly in Japan than the FDA sets regulations for in the United States. Some good companies to buy meat from are the following: Pemmican (Beef Jerky), Whole Foods Market, Trader Joe's, and others that I can't remember off the top of my head.

Oh, and one more thing:

STAY CLEAN, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you really know the effects that smog has on your health?

Hi, I'm here to tell you about problems with schools that are unclean, have bad air around them, or are in the area of bad places such as toxic facilities. If you want to learn about theses facts, stick around, you might learn something.

On this post, I will talk to you about smog. Smog is usually when smoke and sulphur dioxide. But Photochemical smog can be made from nitrogen oxides, tropospheric ozone, volatile organic compounds, peroxyacyl nitrates, and aldehyde. Theses mixes of chemicals are very highly reactive and oxidizing and is a problem with industrialism. Both of those kinds of smog happen when mixed with sunlight. It causes inflaming of breathing areas, and can cause effects of decreasing the lung's working capacity, causing shortness of breath, pain when inhaling deeply, wheezing, and coughing. It can also irritates the eyes and nose. Volcanoes and fires can also cause smog. Kids should not be exposed to smog during school because it is unhealthy and demotes a safe learning environment.
